Copland runner

The runner is a small C3 program that prepares directories without calling external commands. It creates one or more directory trees, optionally changes their owner and group, and then applies an octal mode.

copland-runner 1777 ./example ./another/directory
copland-runner --owner alice users 0750 ./shared

It can also create a symbolic link. As with ln -s, the first argument is the link target and the second the path of the new link. An existing file at that path is not replaced.

copland-runner --symlink ../target ./link

Packaged as pkgs.copland-runner and used by activation for /tmp and /var/tmp. Activation currently only sets modes; ownership and symlinks are not used by Copland yet.

Direction

Next candidates are early stage2 boot and using the runner's ownership and symlink support during activation.
